The 35 Summilux-RF f1,4 for the Leica M3 – in black enamel finish! No one knows how many of these lenses were made. This copy is a very late-production copy of the “goggled” 35mm lens for the Leica M3. Less than 2,000 were made between 1960 and 1966. The M3 rangefinder needs these “goggle” lenses to adapt the .93-magnification viewfinder to accommodate the width of the 35mm angle of view. Other focal length lenses do not require the rangefinder attachment for accurate focusing.
