The centerpiece of Leicapalooza! 2025 is Bil Brown’s photography workshop, “Photography Is Magic,” which takes place Saturday & Sunday, underwritten and sponsored by Dan Tamarkin and Tamarkin Camera ... for you. Workshop attendees can borrow a Leica camera for the weekend.

Friday Afternoon
Leicapalooza! Camera Sale & Leica Fun Time
12 p.m. Noon – 5 p.m.
Free and open to all. No appointment or RSVP needed. Bring a friend or two.
- buy some stuff at Danny T’s Bargain Basement cash-and-carry Camera Sale,
- meet the good folks from Leica USA,
- enjoy tasty adult refreshments,
- compete to win a Door Prize,
- compete in Leica Contests & Feats of Strength for glory and bragging rights,
- receive a portfolio review,
- get gallery submission advice,
- take a selfie with our Giant Leica M3,
- score Rangefinder Gallery prints on sale $100 – $300,
- snag a $25 – $125 monograph, most titles on super-sale...
And, as always, hands-on demonstrations of the Leica D-Lux, Q3 43, SL3, SL3-S and Leica M cameras, as well as the famous Leica lenses.
Friday Evening

Saturday Morning & Afternoon
“Photography Is Magic” Artist Talk & Photo Walk with Bil Brown
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Free and open to all. No appointment or RSVP needed. Bring a friend – the more the merrier!
(While the workshop itself is limited to 15 participants, the Talk & Walk are open to all)
Didn't book the workshop? That's OK – join us Saturday anyhow. We'll have a fun photo walk with Leica USA...
- Bil Brown presents his Artist Talk and introduction to the “Photography Is Magic” concept,
- Enjoy a guided photo walk with Bil, Leica USA and Dan Tamarkin,
- “Photography Is Magic” participants receive direct instruction & guidance from Bil,
- Enjoy a few complimentary beverages along the walk, at around 2 p.m.
- “Photography Is Magic” participants continue to shoot for their workshop assignments
Saturday Evening
Dinner with Dan Tamarkin & Leica USA. Join us for dinner with Leica USA at one of our favorite local spots!

“Photography Is Magic” Review & Critique with Bil Brown.
10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Workshop participants meet at Tamarkin Camera for portfolio reviews, workshop images critique, and closing remarks.
