This is the second Leica camera to offer compliance with the new Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI). CAI-compliant technology create transparency, building trust. The technology makes it possible for the first time to check the origin and history of a photograph – and thus prove authenticity: “The Content Authenticity Initiative is a collaborative endeavor focused on creating a standard framework for validating the legitimacy and origin of digital content, especially within media and creative content domains.”
Your image, its provenance information and digital signature are sealed cryptographically into a tamper-proof manifest with the image.
All of this means that we can now prove our images are NOT AI-generated.
All New items come with the manufacturer’s warranty.
Our Used items come with a Tamarkin Camera six-month warranty (unless otherwise stated), and all our goods come with a No-Hassle 14-day Return Privilege.
New and Used items are subject to a 15 percent re-stocking fee. All items must be returned with all original boxes and packaging, in original condition. Additionally, the warranty and/or other benefits must not be registered. Outgoing shipping costs are not refunded, unless the product is defective or Tamarkin made an error. We want you to be happy, not 15% lighter.Â
Pursuant to California State law, Tamarkin Camera will charge a "California Battery-Embedded Waste Recycling Fee" of $15 per applicable item for all deliveries to the State of California.Â
Any service other than under warranty by the warranty provider - on new or used items - voids the terms of the Tamarkin Camera warranty. Please ask for specifics regarding our warranty.
