Cuba is a beautifully colorful place, with vibrant and warm people. It's a photographer's dream, whether you're walking the streets of Havana or strolling along deserted road in the countryside.
Join me this March for an amazing photographic opportunity traveling across Cuba. We'll even loan you a Leica for the trip!
Small group, big adventure.

My driver for an afternoon, Ernesto deligthed in showing off his car - and his city, Havana.

I waited here, shooting from the shadows, for just the right mix of shapes to appear. This was frame 22 out of perhaps 60.

Most children in Cuba adore being photographed, and these two were no exception.

A happy tobacco farmer pauses for a portrait. He insisted on showing me what he did each day, and how he went about his routine.

Tobacco leaves get loving care before drying.

"But I'm ugly" she said, and I smiled and told her that we are all beautiful in the eyes of God, and she stood still only long enough for me to snap this photo before wrapping me up in a warm hug.

Color is everywhere - an awakening for me, a B&W photographer!

Oh, and the music!

For car buffs, you;ll see more vintage autos than the local car show. It'll amaze and inspire. Bring (or borrow!) a wide angle lens!

Color, color, color. It's everywhere in Cuba. This was taken in a parking lot at Hemingway's home in Havana.

Yes, there will be rum. Cuba makes the finest, and we'll sample a few. Or five. Or fifteen.

All kids love chewing gum. Like a pack of Piranha, they immediately devoured every piece, leaving a swirling mass of wrappers in their wake.

Maria from Las Tunas smoked all my cigarettes, begged my last dollar, ate all my chewing gum, and asked endless question about the U.S. - I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon "guide" in Havana

The light, the light. It's everwhere and just begs to be photographed!
