Sidewalks

Sam Lozano

Sidewalks is a journey through the eyes of street photographer Sam Lozano, who spent years capturing timeless, yet fleeting, moments in Chicago, New York City, and his hometown in Iowa. This collection of black-and-white street photography invites readers to step into a new yet familiar world, where the ordinary fabric of life is transformed into a canvas for exploring themes of isolation, impermanence, and the search for meaning.

Sam Lozano is a street photographer based in the Chicago area. He was born and raised in Iowa and has been calling Chicago home for the last 20 years. He has been a photographer for 15 years. His influences include Richard Sandler, Eugene Richards, Trent Parke, Henri de Toulouse Lautrec, the writings of Jean Paul Sartre and the music of Miles Davis and Pharaoh Sanders.
