Edith Brown
Edith Brown is an award-winning painter and sculptor living in southern Connecticut. Two years ago she started, as she says, “fooling around with a digital camera,” and her images here suggest that she has an artist’s eye. She makes photographs for a number of reasons. Her photos serve as a diary, sort of a visual memento. Sometimes they are references for future work in oils or metals, and sometimes they are simply an instantaneous sketch pad, a record of moments that seemed interesting, or moving, or strange.
