About
Tamarkin New York
Staff Profiles
Eric Bohman began working in the retail camera business in
the mid-seventies to subsidize his interest in photography while still a graduate
student at Yale. After completing his degree (Ph.D., History, 1984) and teaching several
years at Trinity College, Hartford, he joined Tamarkin & Company shortly after Stan
moved the business out of his basement. He was a member of one of the last classes at the
Leica Akademie in Wetzlar, has attended every LHSA meeting since Pasadena (87), and
has been a speaker or panel participant several times. Since late 1995, he has served as
Program Director.
Craig Williams, Manager of Over-the-Counter Retail Sales at
Tamarkin New York, was born in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. and graduated in 1993 from the
University of New Haven in 1993 with a degree in Architectural Design. While he enjoys
most medium format and 35mm photography, and attended the Leica Akademie, he personally
uses the Contax SLR system for his own shooting. He has been with Tamarkin New York
for nearly five years.
